The latest war to end all wars

I am appaled at the media coverage of this conflict. I am shocked when Israel calls Lebanon butchers and gives an example of two children that were killed by Lebanon missles and hundreds of children are killed by Israel and our news reports it like it was just another stat. I don't understand taking sides in this conflict and I am horrified that our country is not motivated to join the rest of the world in demanding a cease-fire on BOTH sides. I don't know why the US is taking sides and has for ages. We are all humans- why is our government trying to convince us that Lebanese are less human than others? Maybe the same reasons that Sadaam is a butcher when we have killed more innocents than he ever thought about? Has the world always been this bad, or have I really not cared until this era?
